productindex.org (the “Site”) is operated by Vanilla Software, L.L.C., a Texas limited liability company (“we”, “us”). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. What the Site does
The Site is a free, public catalog of everyday products. Each product is listed with its brand, category, price, where it is made, certifications, and what it is made with and without. You can filter and compare products and follow links to buy from the brand or retailer. We do not sell products, take orders, or process payments.
2. Accounts and favorites
You can browse without an account. To save favorites you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email and choose a username. Your username, display name, and (unless you turn it off in settings) your favorites are visible on your public profile page. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
3. Product data and accuracy
Product information is compiled from brand websites, product packaging and labels, retailer listings, and certification bodies’ public directories. Prices, ingredients, materials, origin, and certifications change, and listings may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Information on the Site is provided for general reference only and is not professional, medical, safety, or legal advice. Always check the product label and the seller’s current listing before you buy. Brand names and trademarks belong to their owners; their appearance does not imply endorsement. Some outbound links may be affiliate links, which can earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.

4. Acceptable use
Do not: break the law using the Site; scrape or bulk-download the catalog in a way that burdens the service; probe, attack, or bypass security or rate limits; impersonate others or choose an offensive or misleading username; or interfere with other people’s use of the Site.
5. Intellectual property
The Site’s design, code, logo, and the compilation and organization of the catalog belong to Vanilla Software, L.L.C. You may link to the Site and share individual listings for personal, non-commercial purposes. Facts about products are not owned by us, but you may not copy the catalog wholesale to build a competing service.
6. Privacy and cookies
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect. When you sign in we set a signed, HttpOnly session cookie (pi_session) that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, plus a non-sensitive display cookie with your username. We do not use advertising cookies.
7. Termination
You can stop using the Site at any time and ask us to delete your account by email. We may suspend or remove accounts or usernames that violate these terms, and we may change or discontinue the Site, in whole or in part, at any time.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vanilla Software, L.L.C. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the Site, reliance on product information, or purchases made from third parties. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
